Hey Guys,

Thanks for joining the cause. This first week has proved to be a bit slower than we initially had planned for. With most of the pre-planning done (the social media, website, etc.) we are finally ready to start moving on to getting the actual logistics of the ride taken care of. However, being as I’ve been stuck home sick all week, it seems as though those plans will be placed on a bit of a delay (it’s looking like Monday). But, alas! There still are a few things we are looking to do. 

1. We need to establish an official route. A few ideas have been floating around over here as to where we can go and how to support ourselves. Currently, as we have no place to put ourselves up on a long distance ride, it appears as though right now we are looking at a series of shorter rides, each beginning from Madrid. As lovely as this does sound, it just doesn’t have that romantic “man vs. the elements” feel I think we all want. So, here where you can help. Spread the word that we are looking for help in terms of places to stay, places to ride to. For example, no someone who lives in Valencia? Send them our info! Someone in Segovia? Someone with camping gear in Madrid? Anything you can do to help.

2. We need to spread the word to other bikes. The more riders we have the better. So keep tweeting about us, Facebooking us, and following us here!

So that’s all for now. I’m off to medicate and hopefully recover sometime soon.
